Default Divine Intervention and Dwayna's Sorrow

Just as a refresher or if you don't know:

Divine Intervention (Divine Favor, 5 energy, 1/4 activation time, 30 second recharge)
Enchantment Spell. For 10 seconds, the next time target ally receives damage that would be fatal, the damage is negated and that ally is healed for 26-197 points.

And a new skill for Factions goes like this:

Dwayna's Sorrow (Healing Prayers, 5 energy, 1 activation time, 5 second recharge)
Enchantment Spell. For 30 seconds. target ally and all nearby allies are Enchanted with Dwayna's Sorrow. If an ally dies while under the effects of Dwayna's Sorrow, your party is healed for 5-41.

I was just wondering if these would work together. Would a fatal attack cause both enchantments to trigger? Based on the wording, it seems that only Divine Intervention would trigger.

This is just a thought on linking skills together. Divine Intervention in itself is not a very practical spell, helpful, but not practical (to me anyway). The only use I could see from this is for a Monk/Ranger with a pet (if that ever became useful).

I was just thinking of how Dwayna's Sorrow would be practical. It wouldn't really help a Ranger/Monk with a pet. It wouldn't help a Necromancer/Monk MM to heal his/her minions because even Heal Party doesn't heal minions. Plus, it would require that minions die, which isn't desirable at all. It would be an added bonus for a Necromancer/Monk MM to help heal the team, but if they are an MM, how much is it their job to heal the party? If you had an MM bomber, it would be nice to get a 41 health heal (with 12 Healing Prayers) every few seconds, but is that really required of an MM bomber?

Well with Divine Intervention, the ally doesn't ACTUALLY die therefore he is not considered dead. So I wouldn't see why Dwayna's Sorrow would trigger (unless it's bugged).

Yeah, it doesn't seem to me that Dwayna's Sorrow would trigger, but stranger things have happened I suppose. Also, I do like Divine Intervention, if timed right, it can save your butt. It is a skill that requires timing and practice. Knowing for sure when someone will die is tough and making a mistake with Divine Intervention is costly because of the recharge time. It's that recharge time that makes me not keep it in my skill bar.

actually it doesnt just say once, I havnt tested but based on the text, if you had 1 life, boom you have what... 250 ? You could easily take 250 damage in 10+ 20% enchanting mod weapon 12 seconds, and have it trigger again.

Or am I wrong? I will try to test this.

Then it ends.

Yes it is once, but that once does indeed 'boom' you to somewhere in the 200s+, which is more than a good monk needs for a second chance.

Yeah, another reason why I don't bring it with me. It's risky and there are better skills to bring along I think.

That's right. I didn't think about Dwayna's Sorrow being used against Edge of Extinction (I'm not real used to Ranger builds). That would be a problem.
